I Just Don't Understand The Sheeple

Sheeple, its a term often used to describe the majority of Americans. The term describes the behavior of people who are not aware of the dangers around them but more less the gadgets and gizmos, trash tv, celebrity nonsense and sports that have no real impact on their life, not to mention their future. I cannot tell you the millions of conversations and chatter I hear on a daily basis about things that just don't matter in life. The ongoing worry about who the next American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, etc winner will be, or which game is on this weekend and who has best stats or who has picked their fantasy team. This consuming lifestyle of nothing does exactly in life what it is and that is NOTHING. Now I'm not just being a negativce nancy and I like some of these things, but all in all I know that these shows and events are nothing but entertainment and they are not going to matter 5-100 years down the road. Then people like to try and rail me with such absurd comments like "why do you pay attention to politics? Its all the same, they all suck!" or "I don't understand politics, its all stupid". People who think this way are the Sheeple and they block out common sense concepts and thoughts. They think that whoever wins the super bowl this year will impact their lives. When really things like what bill was passed in the lame duck session or who was elected to office are things that can impact our entire way of life. This is why I just don't understand the thought process of such idiots. If anyone has an answer out there please feel free to comment
